With thanksgiving just around the corner, the time has come to begin considering your Christmas decor plans, or in this case, your DIY Christmas decorations. However, if you’re a marketing influenced consumer, you began considering this around October, when all of the major retail stores began to flood our minds with their shiny new Christmas campaigns. They seem to come earlier and earlier each year! Though I must admit, I’ve fallen victim to this calculated strategy and made a few Christmas preparations myself. I’d like to think of it as getting ahead of the ball 😉
If you’re anything like me, some of your Christmas preparations include pulling last year’s decorations out of storage. Hey, let’s be honest, these are the same decorations we’ve pulled out of storage last year, the year before that, and the year before that. Why? Because we are holiday decor recyclers, and proud of it. Holiday season celebrations can be time consuming, not to mention a budget eater. Therefore we must save where we can.
